Northeast Region
In 2023, Special Olympics Pennsylvania (SOPA) established The Northeast Region, which combines Team Area P (Lackawanna, Pike, Susquehanna, Wayne & Wyoming Counties) with Team Luzerne to essentially offer More and Better. This regional approach is designed to provide sustainability to the organization, engage more athletes and provide enhanced, quality experiences to athletes in our region.
